This is a great opportunity for an Associate Town Planner to work in a collaborative team reporting to the Project Director.
Our client works on a vast array of projects that require Development Assessment, statutory and long-term planning input. You will apply your solid understanding of current local and state planning legislation to provide advice on development proposals.

DUTIES
- Take job briefs, run projects, delegate work
- Mentor and oversee the training and development of staff
- Manage and liaise with clients and attend site
- Prepare/manage/review written reports and invoicing developer proposals on town planning advice to various planning issues and planning legislation to support development applications
- Liaise with Councils and other relevant stakeholders
- Build and continue strong relationships with developers, many are repeat clients
- Review supporting documents provided by consultants such as traffic and hydraulic engineers etc
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Ideally 10 years plus experience in town planning, with specific experience in Development Assessment/Statutory planning.
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or equivalent
- Leadership skills to help guide and grow your team skills
- Demonstrated ability to run projects effectively
- A demonstrated understanding of statutory and strategic planning instruments
- A strong work ethic that involves good written and verbal communication and the ability to apply critical thinking skills
- Previous town planning experience working in a private consultancy and ideally local government would be a bonus
- You must be eligible to work in Australia to apply for this role
