What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a pivotal role within the planning team – leading a range of complex and varied projects, while supporting Directors and Senior Principals across planning, project management, business development and broader office initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Independently manage projects of various types and sizes.
• Providing mentorship, guidance and supervision to a growing team of planners
• Liaise with clients, government authorities and consultants with professionalism and ease
• Preparing fee proposals and tender submissions
• Represent the company in client meetings, public forums, hearings and briefings
• Overseeing timing, outputs and budgets while upholding quality assurance standards
• Contributing to business operations, administration and development activities
• Use your awareness of current economic, social and environmental issues.

What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a strategic thinker with a collaborative nature – someone who brings both planning expertise and a passion for leadership.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Planning or a related discipline
• Over 10 years of full-time planning experience
• Strong working knowledge of local planning legislation, regulation and policy ideally locally to Queensland, must have Australian or New Zealand experience
• Demonstrated experience in project coordination, business management and team leadership
• Eligibility for membership with the Planning Institute of Australia
• A current Driver Licence (preferred, but not essential)
• A proactive attitude, genuine enthusiasm and professional drive
